The concept behind the wine
Inspiration is the first chapter of the Cycle of Siridio: the moment when an idea is born and a direction begins to take shape.
In the story told on the label, Siridio observes a star and imagines reaching it. It is the instant of intuition, when a vision appears possible and becomes the point to follow.
Our Valpolicella Classico interprets this beginning with freshness, balance and immediacy. It is a wine that tells the story of the territory in a direct and recognisable way, opening the path of Valpolicella Classica according to the Siridia style.
Tasting notes
Valpolicella Classico Ispirazione shows a bright ruby red colour, light in intensity.
On the nose, it recalls crisp small red fruits, especially cherry and morello cherry, accompanied by a delicate spicy nuance reminiscent of black pepper, typical of Corvinone.
On the palate, it is fresh, smooth and pleasantly persistent, with an agile drinkability that expresses its immediate and versatile character. The presence of Molinara helps enhance freshness, sapidity and lightness.
It is ideal as an aperitif and pairs well with cured meats, young cheeses and not overly structured first courses.
On warmer days, we recommend serving it slightly chilled, at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
Winemaking technique
Valpolicella Classico Ispirazione is made from the main native grape varieties of Valpolicella: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, with a small percentage of Molinara.
The fresh grapes undergo gentle crushing, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts.
After fermentation, the wine is divided into two lots: one part ages in second-use cherry wood tonneaux, while the other rests in stainless steel tanks in contact with the fine lees for about 7 months. During bottling, the two lots are blended to combine freshness, aromatic purity and a gentle evolution of the wine.
After bottling, the wine rests for at least 6 months before release, allowing it to complete its balance.
