Fuoco, Rosso Veneto IGT

90,00

Try it paired with rich and intense dishes such as game stews (wild boar or venison), braised meats and slow-cooked dishes, or with hearty pasta featuring dark or spiced meat ragù. It also expresses itself beautifully with preparations enriched by sweet spices or toasted notes, such as cocoa or tonka bean, creating a refined aromatic harmony.
For a more contemporary pairing, enjoy it with grilled barbecue meats, where its smoky notes find a natural balance.

The concept behind the wine

Fuoco was born from the desire to capture a primordial element and translate it into a liquid experience.

Fire is energy, transformation, instinct: it fascinates, warms, but demands respect.

To express it, we chose 100% Corvina, a grape capable of depth and tension, interpreted through an ancient gesture reimagined with a contemporary sensibility.

The smoking of the grapes is not an effect, but a language. It does not dominate or overpower, but integrates as a subtle vibration running through the wine.

Fuoco is a wine that does not reveal itself immediately: it unfolds slowly, asking for attention, and rewarding with depth and emotion.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.

On the nose, it opens slowly with spirit-soaked cherry, plum and blackberry, enriched by sweet spices, cocoa and an elegant incense note, never overpowering.

Warm and enveloping, with well-integrated alcohol, it develops gradually, revealing depth and complexity with a long-lasting finish.

Winemaking technique

Corvina grapes are harvested and left to dry.

The crates of dried grapes are arranged in a radial pattern around a used barrique, which is burned until only embers remain.
The crates are then covered with a sheet for about 72 hours, allowing the smoke to gently permeate the grapes.

After pressing and fermentation, the wine is aged for 6 months in barrique, followed by a long bottle aging of approximately 5 years.
