The concept behind the wine

Astris is Siridia’s Metodo Classico, born from the desire to explore new expressive possibilities in a land traditionally devoted to great red wines.

It is a sparkling wine conceived more for identity than comparison: a creation that interprets Metodo Classico through the sensitivity of Siridia, combining precision, verticality and research.

This gift box brings together two expressions of the same wine: the version aged in the cellar and an extremely limited selection of bottles aged at sea.

After its time on the lees, only 50 bottles of Astris are immersed in the sea for 6 months, at a controlled depth, where darkness, pressure and constant movement accompany a new evolution of the wine.

The result is a dialogue between two environments: on one side, the continuity of the cellar; on the other, the silent transformation of the sea.

An experience designed to be discovered glass by glass, where each version reveals a different interpretation of the same origin.

A limited edition created for those who wish to go beyond tasting and understand how the environment can influence the evolution, finesse and perception of a Metodo Classico.

Tasting notes

The Astris double gift box was created to bring together two souls of the same wine: the version aged in the cellar and the version aged at sea.

The cellar-aged version expresses the original profile of Astris: a Metodo Classico with a fine, fresh and luminous perlage, capable of combining tension, elegance and pleasure.

The sea-aged version stands out for its greater essentiality and precision. The perlage appears even finer and more delicate, while the aromas become more subtle, with citrus notes, floral nuances and a light saline hint. On the palate, sapidity is more evident, freshness more tense and the sip more dynamic.

Tasting them side by side allows you to understand how two different environments can transform the expression of the same wine, revealing unexpected nuances of balance, depth and verticality.

Winemaking technique

Astris is a Blanc de Noirs Metodo Classico made from Pinot Nero and Corvina grapes, vinified separately to preserve the identity of the two varieties. After the first fermentation, the wine undergoes its second fermentation in bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a long ageing period on the lees of about 24 months, contributing to structure, complexity and finesse of the perlage.

After disgorgement, with no dosage, Astris is expressed in its Pas Dosé version aged in the cellar. An extremely limited selection of 50 bottles is then destined for a further 6-month ageing period at sea, where darkness, pressure and constant movement accompany a new evolution of the wine.
